Facility Maintenance Solutions is a detail-oriented and highly communicative full service commercial facility maintenance company based in Central Florida. The company was established in 2013 shortly after Shane Girard, the company’s owner, graduated high school once deciding that furthering his education through college was not in his best interest. Shane’s father, Rick Girard, was also an entrepreneur who, until recently, owned Girard Environmental Services, one of the largest privately held landscaping companies in the state of Florida which was recently acquired by a national company. Shane always admired what his father had accomplished and, having been exposed to this type of business his entire life, he decided to start his own company modeled off the same morals and principles. FM Solutions provides a vast variety of maintenance services to homeowners associations, construction companies, developers, and commercial real estate owners in the Central Florida area. FM Solutions has multiple service crews, various types of specialized equipment and machinery, and office staff to resolve client service requests properly and efficiently from start to finish. FM Solutions is determined to establish a long-term relationship with its customers through great communication and quality of work.

My entire life I have known that I have always had a different way of thinking than my peers. I usually am never completely satisfied and I am constantly looking for a more organized way of completing normal everyday tasks. I contribute most of my success to my OCD way of thinking and also to my family for fully supporting me even after deciding that I would not be attending college. My father has always been my role model and mentor, most people describe us as being almost the same person in different generations. I love being underestimated and being the "under dog" in most situations. I have a beautiful wife and daughter and we enjoying spending time on the lake with friends and family on weekends.

I grew up in a small town in West Virginia, and moved to Florida in 2001, to be near by family. I started working for an Orthodontist in 2002, as a Scheduling Coordinator, and has been employed there for several years up until I decided to change career paths in 2023. Since then, I have been working at FM Solutions as the company's Office Administrator. I've always been happy at every job I have ever been at, however coming to work at FMS was truly life changing for me. The people that I work with are extremely helpful and treat me like family. In my spare time, I love doing things with my family and friends, going to rock concerts, playing with my dogs, swimming, boating, shopping, and working in my flower garden.

I have worked for FM Solutions for eight years now and have personally completed every service we offer over the years. I started out in the field working as a general crew member and over time I had proven myself to have leadership qualities, which then transitioned me into a foreman position running my own crew and eventually I advanced even further into a management position. We've learned many things over the years which has made our company very knowledgeable in several different trades. I am pleased to now to manage several divisions throughout the company, create new jobs for our community, and provide to others the experience and knowledge that I have learned.

I worked in the automotive industry for five years and learned about FM Solutions through my previous employment as a service advisor. When an opportunity opened to join the team at FMS, I was excited to become part of the organization. I was hired on board as a project manager, however I began my journey in the field to gain hands on experience and build a thorough understanding of the serves we provide, before transition into my management role. I deeply value the family oriented culture at FM Solutions. I am also currently pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, golfing, going to the movies and sending quality time with my fiancée and family.
